Walter August was born on January 28th 1959 and was raised in Abbeville, La. He was baptized at Mt. Triumph M.B.C. by Pastor Isaiah Matthew in 1972. In 1975, he later joined Pleasant Green B.C. under the leadership of Pastor Isaiah Joiner.

In 1977 after completing High School he joined the U.S. Marine Corp where he served through 1983. In 1984, he joined First City Bank Corporate Sercurity Group  and attened the Professional Management Trainging School and reached the position of Security Specialist in 1991.

In 1992, he professed his calling into the gospel ministry under the leadership of Dr. E.L. Lott, Senoir Pastor of True Light M.B.C. in Houston, Texas. He was also hired by LaSalle Partners Asset Management Company, where he served as their Director of Security. In 1994, he organized and founded Bethel's Family Baptist Church along with his wife, three sons, and six committed adults. 

He served 7 1/2 years as Sugar Creek B. C. Missions Pastor, leading them to start 58 churches and started 7 churches through Bethel's Family. In 2002, he founded Bethel's Heavenly Hands that distributed over 360,000 pounds of food last year (2008) that fed 39,000 people in the Houston area. This ministry also assists with paying a portion of utility bills and medication for the elderly.

In 2006, he founed Bethel's Place: This organization support job trainging, job placement, GED prep and testing, after-school programs, vocational trainging, and much more. They are in a campaign currently to raise Five Million Dollars to build a 55,000 square feet building that allow more social service programs to empower the people to health, wholeness, and productivity in the GreaterHouston Metropolitan area.

 

Ruby was born on june 4 1959 and was raised in Natchitoches, La. She was baptized at Shady Grove M.B.C. by Pastor Emeal Jones in 1971. In 1977 after completing High School, she attended Natchitoches State University and later moved to Chicago, Il. where she started her career in the field of banking.
